  • Explain why Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be necessary for those acting as volunteers in a public health emergency
  • Describe the process for selecting PPE and ensuring its safe and effective use
  • Describe the use or non-use of PPE in recent events, and lessons learned
  • List most common types of PPE and the general purpose of each
  • Demonstrate how to correctly don and doft the most common types of PPE
  • Expalin the appropriate use of PPE and other protocol (standard precautions, expanded precautions, and hand hygiene) in protecting yourself and others from infectious disease
